Day Two

Woke up today feeling energised and excited about the day ahead.

Normally i wake up late & grumpy needing coffee..

Not sure if this was to do with the shakes or not.. I'll see how it goes tomorrow morning :)

I had my breakfast shake at 10am, quite late for me! Sadly at about 2pm i started to droop.. i felt tired, grumpy, and couldn't seem to keep up at work. This was a sign i needed my lunch shake! And for a few hours after that i felt energised again!

It's strange.. it doesn't fill me up when i drink it, but within half an hour to an hour I'm feeling full and have a lot more energy.. So i know its doing something!

I have been quite busy this evening, treated myself to a low kcal hot chocolate and now I'm in bed watching family guy.. With no need to have my dinner time shake!

I'm going to embrace it instead of get myself out of bed to make one..

I have lost 3 lbs so far and have a much flatter tummy so feeling good! I'm sure its just water weight, but I'm feeling confident and thats the main thing!

Day One

Super Eleven Shake Detox.

I'm constantly trying new diets.. from the extreme to the simple healthy eating & exercise.

I recently started a new relationship and sadly with love .. came the podge. Ive gained half a stone and starting to feel more sluggish so have been on the lookout for a new diet to kick start my weight loss.

A little extra incentive if ever i needed one.. I'm heading to Paris for a romantic break in 1 week and want to feel a little slimmer for it..

I found the Super Eleven Shake on Groupon and purchased a 60 day supply..

It suggests having one shake a day and eating healthy meals for lunch and dinner.. but i need to see results and fast!

So i decided to replace all three meals with the shakes. I will be doing this for 9 days only before my holiday.

A lot of people have told me I'm crazy.. i can't do it.. But i know my body better than anyone, and i know i can do this. In the past i have tried other fad diets which include fasting or juicing and it seems to really work for me! I obviously do put a little bit of weight back on at the end when i start to eat solid foods.. but what i have found is that after a detox like this i loose my sugar cravings and feel so happy and confident with my new flatter tummy that i keep up healthy eating instead of slipping back into bad habits.. late night eating and cookies with my coffee!

Check out the website for more details and info on the different detox's and shakes available.

The Shakes came in two packets (30 day supply in each) with a little scoop to measure the powder. It suggests mixing with banana or berries but i wanted to try it without for the first day.

I mixed one scoop of super eleven shake with 200ml of soya light. (I recently started drinking soya/almond milk instead of normal milk and love it!)

I read quite a few reviews before starting this diet so was excited to taste the chocolatey shake everyone has been talking about.. I'm sad to say it didn't taste as nice as expected. There seem to be some type of seeds which floated on the top which i wasn't expecting.. In my opinion it was quite flavourless.

Having said that, i still managed to drink the lot :)

I think if i had not been told it tasted really chocolatey then i wouldn't have been disappointed… So keep in mind if you are trying for the first time.. It's not going to taste like a thick creamy chocolate shake!

And would i want it too?… Not really! I'd rather have something slightly tasteless to remind me its healthy and why I'm doing this.

I had my first shake at 9:30am. Its 12:30 now and I'm still feeling full!

Here are the 11 superfood ingredients in the shake :

On top of my diet & yoga i'm also half way through the 30 day pro squat challenge.. So hopefully by Friday next week i will have a slightly flatter stomach and feel confident in paris! ..

Wish me luck!
